DYNO DAY #2

Hey Guys,

Firstly I would like to thank you all for attending the JEM Dyno Day. It was such a pleasure to meet most of you and finally put a face to the name. I was so pleased with everyone's patients, understanding and excellent conduct where in fact J.E.M commented on how happy they were from all the entries as well as spectators. I sincerely hope you all had an enjoyable day, made some new friends as well as now know where to go for all your tuning and mechanical needs!

I have known Adam (Tuner/owner) at J.E.M for quite a few years now and classify him as a good friend rather then an acquaintance. He has always provided a high level of service, honesty and excellent workmanship has yet to be surpassed. I organized the first Dyno Day for J.E.M back in Feb 2007 when Adam was still located in Moorebank. A couple of months ago I visited Adam to find that he has EXPANDED the workshop to include all mechanical needs as well as an amazingly professional setup, at this point i thought to myself "We need a dyno day!"

So did i get out of it? Well I was able to organize a fun filled social day which gave everyone who came to meet, mingle and get to know others from the forums as well as get their car dyno'ed and assessed by one of Australia's leading tuners at a discounted price.

Please feel free to comment any feedback as well as post Photos & Vids from today's Dyno Day and thank you all once again for attending.

P.S If anyone has extensive video footage of today (Cars, Dyno runs, spectators .etc.) please PM me

Great day out, managed to pull 181.2rwkw out of my r33 gtst with only turbo-back exhaust, front mount and pod, was shocked when i saw the read out and it managed to keep pulling to 7000rpm. using standard boost solenoid which did spike to 9psi and held dead flat to red line.

Was interesting how nice everyone was who actually owned a turbo and yet all the honda crew stuck to themselves and if I remember correctly, were hiding around the corner haha

Lol I remember that. They were a bit out-numbered though.

Was a good day out, thanks to sarkis for organising it all. Was good to meet you in person. Also I met ur cousin with the 20v and had a good chat.

The only gripe I had about the day was that the "first in first served" thing didnt really happen. I was there round 10am and think my car got dynoed at 5ish. Dunno what happened there.

Otherwise was a great day ;) Congrats to the guy in the 33 that got 308atw. Those 2 crazy S13's were just chasin ur tail!

Thanks for the positive feedback guys, glad you all enjoyed the day and it was real nice to meet you all.

in the beginning the "first in first served" structure worked well however as the day went on many entries were in a rush to get to work/family commitments and we tried as best as possible to re-arrange the order to keep as many people happy as possible. Not to mention a few cars were waiting for the Zoom Mag photographer who arrived at 2pm to get their cars in the magazine.

All in all it was a great event with lots of laughs as well as great cars. Thank you too all who participated and stay tuned for J.E.M Dyno Day #3 in 2009.

Regards,

Sarkis

Just wanna say you did a great job sarkis,

as much as i hate to say it, the turn over time for cars was alot slower than i had intially anticipated.

anyways good job guys at JEM.

regards

steve

Thanks Steve, im glad you had a good time.

In regards to the turn over time, we started off with 5 - 6 cars an hour however due to some entries needing to leave early due to work and other commitments we tried to organize the cars as best as possible to keep everyone happy. Additionally some high power cars wanted to get on at 2pm for the Zoom magazine photographer which also caused a few cars to be pushed back... Not to mention the problems we had with that Evo. Adam also wanted to take is time with each car and owner to give them feedback at a personal level as well as to make sure each car is safe.

All in all it was a great day and I would like to commend the boys at J.E.M for their efforts.

Regards,

Sarkis

yeah i got there right at 10 aswell, i was number 16 but didn't get on the dyno till 4:20..... was thrilled when my baby got on lol

but next time i do think it should stay first in first served, if you have other appointments then you miss out, thats what lifes about,,,, should't really have your cake and eat it aswell,,,, and really if somebody did have to do something in the morning but were dieng to get a dyno run they should have been there right at 9am to get dynoed and not come in at number 28 and so on and expect to cut inline, not really cool....

just something to keep in mind for next time i guess
