had a little flash back tonight to about five years ago when three freaks tryd jacking me and a mate while we were waiting in a hungry jacks drive thru.....we managed to get a way after getting chased by a suzuki seirra of all chase cars haha...but they still managed to brick our windscreen as we bailed..wankers.....the reason i brought this up is that as most of you know this sort of thing is on the rise and sumtimes its easy to forget this sht can happen......got a reminder tonight wen i noticed a honda integra started to follow me with a few seedy lookn crew flipping me off for no reason and generally tryn to start trouble..i slowed down to stop at the next set of lights and one little prick jumped out and ran towards my car... there was no one in front of me and no traffic coming so f**k it i ran a red light and didint look back....now im thinkn dam i had no way of protecting my self as i dnt carry anything in my car and taken on three cyco crack heads aint my thing. ive been fined before for having a big mag light on my back seat!!!...........so yeh just a reminder to let you all knw sht can happen...and be carefull.....so ask your self what would you do if you found ur self in this sitch??.......got a plan???......my g,f is thinking of joining the skyline crew and id hate to think what she would do if this happend to her while she was driving alone.....????

Dr Victor Chang's car was deliberately bumped from the rear, and after turning into a side street. he was accosted and killed.

So whilst I'm calm and rational right this minute, my training procedure is...

i) Make sure that my Agreed Value Insurance is up-to-date and gives me adequate cover

ii) Calmly activate my PANIC BUTTON in my car which does strange but silent/covert things (no not Quiktrak gone bust)

iii) Hand over the keys to the Carjackers

iv) Go to the other side of the street and start taking pics (even pretend pics) so they'll go away (with or without the car).

There is a legal pepper spray called MUZZLE which is meant for Veterinary use only. Not sure yet whether this would be step v)!

Tez

Yeh I've been held up before with a 'blood-filled' syringe wielding jerk just out of the clink - and now he's back in.

Held me up after my last patient. Bit more vigilant now.

Never really thought about this ...

Guess my first reaction would be to put my foot down and go for it.

But if i was blocked in?

I wouldnt take out a knife and start waving it around, as that could get u in a shit load more trouble then getting ur car stolen.... Thats unless they had knife first, then it would be counted as resonable course of action.

But i guess, the best thing would to pass them the keys... and let them take it. Better then losing your life

Or if u want to be really cheeky, i would turn off the car, pass them the key and run off... not telling them the pin number to start the car again.

HAHA...

ahh.. touch wood.. i hope this doesnt happen to me..

I would say, sit in ur seat rock back and forwards hitting ur head on the steering wheel somewhat hard, loudly muttering "Stop it Mummy, im good boy now,"

Now if that dream scream psycho then nothing will LOL

I would not attempt to approach anyone, for any reason if they were doing this :)

Very nice non violent attempt to avoid any confrontation.

At night i always lock the doors when driving. At least if someone does try and open the door, i have a few seconds of advantage to do something....hopefully it would be to drive off with no further issue. However, if they did get in id surrender the car. Its "just a car" and is insured and can be replaced. I dont think any car is worth your life/health to try and protect.

If I was outnumbered and they had AK-47s ok they can have my pride and joy. Otherwise unable to outrun them or cornered at the lights I'll introduce them to my stainless steel Prolock which is nicely legal to have sitting on your passenger seat.
