Hey Guys, I have just purchased a 1994 R32 Veilside Evo n4 Widebody GTR and was wondering if anyone can confirm that they were all brought out in V Spec 11 Models. All my research has told me they were all made in V Spec models and a reputable melbourne workshop told me they were all V Spec models. It has Brembo's but I was wondering if there was any other way of knowing for sure whether it is a V Spec?

Thanks Guys.

whats the model code on the build plate and have a look at the rear diff cover is plain or finned

Not relevant on 32's.

Just get the VIN number and have someone run it through FAST in the FAST thread.

and yes, PICS!!!!

whats not relevant? the model number or the rear diff

all standard R32 GTR's have a finned diff all V-spec and V-spec II have a flat diff cover so the opposite of the R33's. Best way to tell is the model code V-spec II have KBNR32BFS8 AA where a V-spec does not have the 8 on the end and normal GTR's do not have the S or the 8 on the end.

so v-spec models have a S

v-spec II models have a S8

mate you actually have no idea what your talking about. Diff housings can be changed over so not a good way to identify a vspec from non vspec. Might be true that vspec doesnt have the finned diff but i have seen plenty of non vspec r32 gtr's that have the flat diff cover.

Wrong about the "s" in the model code. All GTR's should have it in the model code as it actually stands for S: Intercooler + Turbo + EGI.

So before you make things worse find out some facts.

GLAZE post up your vin mate and ill find out for sure what model r32 gtr you have.

sorry wrong about the S denotes a v-spec but 8 denotes a v-spec II not sure how the v-spec's are coded

and babyskyline pull your head in!

and who the hell changes the diff cover to a plain one thats if you can find one they only came on the v-spec models so there isnt to many around, the diff is a quick way to tell if you may have a v-spec model obviously the best method is through the nissan fast software

sorry mate but im well and truely sick of people writting up info that isnt correct or definitive.

People do change over the diffs. It is pretty bad that this destinctive feature of a r32 gtr vspec isnt a good way of telling if you have a genuine vspec. Like i said above i have seen many "vspec" diff covers on non vspecs in my search for a nice r32 gtr lately.

Sorry mate, meant to say the diff cover is irrelevant. Build plate is very relevant.

I'm yet to see anything 100% confirm the fin v non fin diffs relating to specific models in R32's. It's well documented for 33's but from what i've read a bit up in the air on 32's. I could be wrong though.

Either way, anything that can be changed, is probably not a good way to 100% check.

But, yep build plate is the way to go.

Yeh they released a Veilside Evolution with Veilside Kit, Veilside Exhaust, Veilside Strut Bar. It comes with Teins and Nismo LMGT1 18"Wheels, Brembo's.

Very Rare limited built car that I was told by a very reputable melbourne workshop they werent available to the public when released.

Will get Vin number and confirm whether it is a V Spec or not?

Cheers

Well I dont know how many there are in OZ, this is the only one I have seen in the 7 years of being an import owner, and the price of one of these in this condition is something I would like to keep private if thats OK. I dont like to talk about how much I spend on my Toys. Sorry Bud.

Looking forward to showing you all how clean this thing is and a nice tidy engine bay with a matching colour engine and polished pipes!!

Hey you found a Pic, nice!! Yeh the previous owner had an accident with a gutter:( I will look to possibly get a genuine front bar for it, even though I dont actually like it very much:)
