Hi guys I just bought a 2nd hand '94 R33 GTS25T.

Whenever I drive over a speed bump or a pothole, there is a knocking / clunking noise coming from the left rear coil overs.

The coilovers are aftermarket from HKS and I have no idea what model they are. I brought them to a local mechanic and when he lifted the car upon the hoist,

he discovered the dampers were not working at all. Only the spring is working, and there was no damping effect at all. The mechanic told me there was no

more compressed gas in the damper. But he wasn't sure and suggested I buy new ones

My buddy told me I could probably get someone to rebuild the coilovers or re-gas them or something instead of getting new ones.

Could anyone advice me on what to do? And has anyoneele encountered this problem before? And is it really possible to re-gas the coilovers? If it is, does

anyone know a place where I can get it done? I live in Sydney close to the city. It'd be great if anyone knows a garage nearby.

its time to gtet a new set of coilovers.

a few 2nd hand HKS coilovers ive looked at all were in f**ed up condition. so ive decided to stay away from them (3 sets with all the same problem, 1 set i installed in the car and the shocks were completely dead)
