Turbo Bearings Are Gone.

The bearings in my turbo (R33 series 2 turbo on RB20DET) have shat themselves and are making a loud whirring noise. I have a replacement turbo to go on... i'm just waiting for one more part which is a couple of days away.

What i'm wondering is will driving the car to work and back for a couple of days with the turbo in this state do any damage to the engine? Is there any chance of busted bearing getting into the engine oil or are they in a sealed unit?

There is every change your going to do some major major damage
