Hey guys,

am looking to buy & install a set of splitfires to my R33 Series 2. Is this a timely & difficult exercise for a novice or is it easy as pie? If possible id like to save the $100 id be getting charged by mechanic/performance shop.

Thanks in advanced.

im a complete novice when it comes to mechanical work on the car... and i installed splitfire coilpacks in my r33 in just over an hour...

very very easy...

come round and ill help u do it! im free all day everyday for the next 2 weeks!! let me know man im west subs!

F***n sweet as,

im in the western burbs too. Should have them in my hands by fri cos i ordered them yesterday, wat part of the west u from? If we do it @my work BWS is pretty much next door for ur payment :D

its a worthwhile upgrade as well

Its only worthwhile if your old coils are playing up.

Spitfires are cheaper than the nissan coilpacks, but are no better. There is lots of info on this in the performance forum. (its not really an upgrade)

too true.

Been talkd about many times and theyre probs as good as eachother, maybe genuines r bit better im not too sure tho but genuines will cost u at least $1000 for a set where as the splitfires will be round $500.

My genuine coilpacks r fine but when they start to sh*t themselves i know im not paying $1000 coilpacks.
