QFM PADS

Queensland friction material (QFM) is a Queensland Australia based disc brake pad manufacturer.

The emphasis at QFM has been to develop high quality disc brake pads at highly competative prices.

The ongoing research and development of existing and new friction material is performed at the QFM Nerang facilities. New friction materials are continually developed and tested as part of the QFM commitment to quality and Performance.

Quality QFM disc brake pads have earned the reputation in the trade of being a FIT AND FORGET product, with high levels of customer satisfaction.

A range of disc pads are available for performance applications, THE K750 FORMULATION HAS BEEN VERY POPULAR WITH LIGHT CAR RACING ENTHUSIASTS.

The high performance pads (500 degree) are equivelent performance-wise to Bendix Ultimates, but should last roughly twice as long. The high performance pads also produce about 90% less dust then the Bendix Ultimates.

The track day pads (750 degree) can handle approximately 100 more degrees than the EBC greens. They will also last roughly twice as long as the EBC greens and have about half the dust.

Obviously all these figures depend on your driving style, but these are a rough estimate.

Models Available (Brake Pads):

R32 GTST

R32 GTR (non brembo)

R33 GTST

R34 GTT

NOTE: The K750 pads, even though track pads, are still suitable for every day driving

how long would delivery take to 2095, NSW?

and which pad would you recommend for r33 gts-t 180rwkw standard rotors and lines for street use and say track every 1-2 months?

Well items are shipped when payment is cleared. So you should receive them a couple of days after payment clears.

If you are doing track, then the k500's won't cut it. You'll need the K750's, which are a track/street pad.

Personally, I wouldn't use anything other than the K750's.

Hi Mark,

I'm after front and rear ADR approved braided brake lines to suit R33 GTS-t calipers on my RPS13 (180SX Type X).

I spoke to Goran from BW Sunshine the other day and he advised that these custom lines may vary in length. Not to sure what he meant? Are you able to clarify?

Has anyone that you know of had any issues with fitting these custom lines (i.e. 180SX with R33 GTS-t calipers)?

Cheers,

Andy

Hey Andy,

It meant exactly that. Because you have non-standard brakes, the hoses will probably need to be a little shorter or longer than your standard hoses. It's no big deal. They are still just bolt-on replacements.

Cool thanks for clarifying, so if you can guarantee fitment I'm keen on a set front and rear custom made for my RPS13 to suit R33 GTS-t calipers.

Can I please grab payment details?

Cheers,

Andy

Can these lines be made up to suit an R34 Sedan with R33 GTSt Brakes? In the process of getting parts for brake conversion and lines will be needed. Is there any difference between them besides the caliper fittings?

Cheers

    • Thanks, plan is to drain all fluid tomorrow and do smoke test to find out the leak.   Appreciate your help and want to understand how the system work. So cooling is achieved by the long loop not any rad? The diagram seems to suggest it connects to somewhere inside the cabin and I thought that is a cooler inside firewall. If you look at the diagram it seems to show it connects to something inside firewall. I tried chasing it but not easy unless I take loads off   i am confident pump is good as fluid goes in and it gets soft( steering) but as soon as I turn engine off , loads of bubble come to surface and overflow. When engine is on , fluid level is below minimum but when off it shoots off and thinking it is sucking air in. I suspect aluminium pipe may have a crack line or whole   smoke test with no fluid should be a good start and if needed will remove the pump   In addition, the one going under the engine bay is high pressure line and one directly connecting from pump to resorvoir is return/ low pressure?   finally I searched and suggestion is to use dexron 2 but that is discontinued so bought dexron 3 as all research suggest it is compatible and shouldn’t cause any issues/ blow seals. I bought two liter of dexron 3 motul atf
    • Don't worry about. Just don't try to drive hard enough to make boost and you'll be fine.
    • Yes. This has already been said. It is a loop of hardline in front of the radiator. Because.... the pump is on the LHS and the steering rack hydraulic connections are where they always are on a RHD steering rack....on the RHS. The high pressure line goes down under the engine, along the crossmember, like it does on all Skylines. Don't just throw expensive braided hoses/other kits at it. Work out what is wrong and fix that.
    • Still got the afm on the intake, clamps are shut tight, only loose hose is the one that goes from the j pipe towards the IACV, since it's next to impossible to find a factory hose and the barbs are different sizes (I'm still using clamps on this hose to try and help it seal on the iacv side) I've ordered parts to make up the hotside of the intercooler pipes, I'll plumb it in and see what happens in a few days I suppose The turbo's internally gated, can I just unscrew the tension rod to let the gate open?
    • Did this ever go further ? Would love some updated info
