SO... is this still being used as a daily driver? Cause like... I don't go past any Sunoco outlets on the way to work...

*pokes flame*

come on its got so much torque he can tow a trailer around with a couple of 44 gallon drums of sunoco on board for refills every half hour... :dry:

If one of my kids ever asks me what an oxymoron is I think I'll use that as an example. :)

haha c'mon kiddies :thumbsup: 6000 with a 18cm is More responsive than 7000 with the 22cm option.....

ahem...Blitz 1000cc are light green :thumbsup:

a lot more easier to swallow now the injectors are the correct size for the power output.

In all seriousness Trent, have you driven this car or been for a drive in this car on the street? When it hits boost and makes that 800+hp in 1000rpm, do you actually see into the future? That thing would have to chirp 5th!!

Ill sit on the roughly fixed amount of drivetrain loss rather than the % theory. This car is a perfect example, i mean im pretty sure that the temp of the gearbox and diff doesnt increase almost 400% when the power does so going from stock maybe 300hp to say about 1100hp.

Back on topic, as someone else asked what ebc was the car running?

It all comes down to the fuel being used, the fuel pressure setting and the air:fuel ratio. It is impossible to make blanket statements like the one above.

Think about it for a minute. What power would those injectors support at 60psi base fuel pressure but running Methanol? How about oxygenated leaded race fuel? PULP?

It might be a good general guide to say that 1000cc injectors could support 1000 engine horsepower at 45psi base pressure and 12.5:1 but to make claims about any particular setup's capabilities without knowing the fuel type used, the pressure, the air:fuel's and the injector size is foolhardy at best.

Here we know that it was running 1000cc injectors, I've had a 'stab' that it's running Sunoco MaxNOS (as it's the new hotness;)) but we don't know the fuel pressure the reg was set to or the AFR's tuned to. Let's say 13:1 and 65-70psi should be enough.

Possible but more likely that the 1002hp is a great indication of flywheel horsepower.

The terminal speed on the timeslip (if this car ever makes a full noise pass down the quarter) and the race weight of the car will give a better, more 'real-world' comparison and idea of the power the thing is making.

I had to laugh at the genius of an engineer above too!

I have highlighted the operative word. I was merely stating what they are capable of. Sure there are other factors involved but that would be my estimate at their maximum capability with all variables taken into account. Perfect A/F ratio, good base pressure etc etc.
