car was on semi slicks..... been covered 100000000000000000 times already..... unfortunatley the owner though semis worked better on dyno... the exact opposit is true.

bro

as you can see.

even this tuner scare to answer why from 1002HP drop down to 450kw.

maybe he just play some magic in front of his customer

would love to see URAS prove his 1002HP on public dyno

:( :( :P

there is ZERO way to fudge the dyno it has ZERO owner inputs which affect power output. Car saw the track a week or so and had a few issues apparentley so was unable to complete a full run but from what i heard from some of my other customers the cars was still sideways at 3/4 when it came close to taking out the timing box :P so hopefully they can fine some speed and put a decent time on the cards.

id be happy fo the car to go to another dyno under my supervision and run by the owner of said dyno and if ames wnats to do that i wld even pay for the time, but at the end of the day neither i or the customer have anything to prove... it is his car and his perogative.

i could post up another batch of cars making well over 700hp that have proven themselves at national dyno comps but that doesnt seem to make a differrence....... i dont need to prove anything to anyone other than the customer if they are happy then thats all that matters.

good to hear the car is now at the track Trent...keep the updates coming...any 1/2 track times/speeds available?

I wish Dyno's only had the ability to print out air:fuel mixtures only.

or that there was only an on or off setting.. no loading, ramp, temp correction etc.

or a way to connect some sort of sensor to the fly wheel to actually read engine hp.

number of cry babies here is crazy

hi champ

any up date with the power?

any track time ?

would love to see you prove the 1000hp.

Apparently the car lasted 2 runs down the quarter. Not sure what the time was for the first run but on the second run the engine disassembled itself throwing its guts out on the track. Damage was catastrophical, maybe turborxp can tell us more...

oh and btw.. u dont lose a fixed amount of power.. its a percentage. :)

every single engineer knows this.. are u one?? i would say not.. am i?? most definately

also.. power is just torque with rpm... if rpm climbs higher than torque drops.. power rises

i noticed it drops off extremely quick up the top thou.. not even stock turbos do that.. whats the deal there??

100% agree, the fixed loss drivetrain myth is SO ANNOYING. I beleive the principals of angular (rotational)accelleration are quite straight forward, applying more force to a rotating body will increase losses incurred in the conservation of angular momentum.

I love that people are accusing Trent of fudging figures.....how many cars have you seen that put out big power have issues on dyno days,

Ive personally seen TOPRPM stuggle to make 400rwhp on the dyno and the next day it was back up to 800+ and all the problem was a loose wire for the boost controller so it was only running gate pressure.

Many cars inculding my own have issues every now and again and are down on power due to somthing tiny.

    • I would paint match the whole thing to avoid unwanted attention  I had a similar bonnet, paint matched, on my old R33 GTST, but mine was a fibreglass jobbie made by Blitz in QLD, they work extremely well for radiator efficiency and under bonnet temps
    • Does anyone run this kit with factory plenum? Does the adapter and bosch tb fit under factory strut brace? I wanted to get this setup before going forward facing manifold. Thanks
    • small update time, after always wanting a "cool" looking bonnet for my car and always struggling to find one for the series 2 that i liked and wasn't an insane amount of money. Saw one i liked on RHDjapan from D-speed in Japan the price was very good for a carbon bonnet so good infact i was a little unsure how much i trusted it, decided to bite the bullet and with the help of jesse streeter in not long at all it was at my door. Once it was delivered i ran in from work and quickly unboxed it and to my surprise the quality was actually pretty good i quickly removed the old bonnet and placed on the new one to test it out and even the fitment wasnt too bad at all. Then decided to paint the little grille in the bonnet black to stop it sticking out so much.   I decided to not mess around with the hood latch and just install some aero catch hood pins, having never installed them before did some YouTube university classes and i was good to go. fair to say it is not a fun job at all from making brackets so the pins sit nicely and actually cutting through the bonnet but also being very scared of cutting the holes too big it took wayyyy longer than i would like to admit but finally got it there. Then it was time for a quick test drive to ensure the latches actually worked and thankfully the bonnet looked very stable. I still think paint matching the bonnet and leaving just the part that sticks up as carbon would help make it all look alot neater as im not sure how i feel about all that carbon on a very fridge white car but will leave it as is and see how i feel with time.
    • I think it's bound to happen, you finally get it all perfect, and bam, something will happen. I took a while to get a Commodore rear quarter repaired where a P Plater clipped it. Two days after getting it back, Sarah wiped it out on a concrete pillar in an underground car park... This is why I take forever to repair them, it stretches how long until it gets bent again... 😛
    • Nah, not really responsible for that little fiasco, but I'm still pissed at myself for writing off my 86, or when I reversed my VX into a pole just before selling it, but, meh, 5hit happens to stuff, all it takes is a slight distraction, and life is full of distractions, and "dooh" moments
