Head Unit Problems

i'm having problems trying to get the head unit that i just installed to play any cd.

the unit doesn't seem to be able to read any cd's. once i put 1 in it holds it for about 5 seconds then spits it back out. i've tried a few different cd's and it happens on all of them.

what could this problem be?

it's a kenwood unit that had from my old car and it worked fine in that.

sounds like you didnt wire it in right... check the power, constant power, aerial etc...

umm.. then read the manual..

just dont tell anyone you did.

Sounds like a fault with the head unit itself. Kenwood head units are known to break alot - So give them a ring and get it fixed. If it's not under warrenty - get a new one. JVC or Pioneer are good budget h/u's.

Yea.. it sounds dead dude..

I had a kenwood home stereo which had exactly the same

problem.

All i use it for now is the radio and the aux for my computer

speakers!
