Headlight Lens

My question is simple. How do you get inside the headlight assembly so that you can clean the headlight lens? My assembly has leaked and has changed the colour of the protective lens? Is it just the silicon that is stoping me or is there an easier way to get insde? Thanks

you'll have to split them - there is some how to's on here

but basically some patience and a heat gun will get you there.. or slowly warm it up in the oven

i wouldn't split them unless you have to.

once they are split the seal is broken and water and crap can get in after you re-assemble them

but - you reseal them once you are done

unless you dont do it well it shouldnt leak, definately clean off teh old selanat and use new sikaflex.
