hey guys I haven't posted much on the forums yet, I've had my 97 s2 r33 for about 5 months now and it's been absolutely awesome, I love it. Haven't had amy problems with it till now, I've just noticed over the last couple of days that when I'm in 4th gear flooring it the revs seem to go up to around 4000r/min then it holds there for a while.. Sometimes the revs flick Down to 3rpm for a second then back up slowly to 5rpm. It feels like it's lost abit of power and also sounds like the engines lagging abit. I'm gonna take it in for a service next week, anyone have any idea what it could be?

I actually first noticed it in 3rd gear, kinda sounds like a humming noise that doesn't change pitch when it normally would when accelerating.. So it seems 1st and 2nd are fine but 3, 4, 5 seem to have lost abit of power.

No backfiring or shaking, but 4th definitely stands out more than the others.

i dont think this is a Drivetrain issue. its only doing it in 4th gear because its getting the most load in 4th.

Its a issue with the way the engine is running etc etc that he cannot feel in other gears.

Clutch prices vary, try searching the forum, there's plenty of different clutches from sellers depending on your budget and power level.

There are also places like NPC clutches and there's a group buy in the forum on clutches, start reading!
