Cost Of Colour Changing (chameleon) Paint!

I'm going through a few colour charts getting ideas for a new colour for the 32, and out of curiosity I priced a silver/green chameleon paint.

It was over $1300 a litre!!!!!! I didn't realise it was so expensive!

yea considering a paint job like that cost about 7k+ and candy 10k+ lol...

you can get it for as little as $1000 p/l, but you dont need to use 4L as you would a normal paint job, as you have to lay a black base coat for the paint to work

chameleon paint costs a lot of money

it was popular in the mid to early 90s

it's about 5-7 grand in MONEY

but what you pay in your dignity for owning a chameleon car is a far greater cost to your soul

Meh, as said, it was curiosity that made me price it. I'd not do it because of the hassle of touching up scratches & dings

As said before. Chameleon died out before 2001 for sure.

These days its all about the Candy's and Pearls.

I wouldnt mind a Candly blue with some gold or green pearl.
