Z32 AFM, and Apexi SAFC

i just picked up a Z32 AFM for really cheap, thinking that i might use it one day, but i dont plan to buy a Power FC or a new ECU.

but i was looking at getting a S-AFC, so my question is

if i have a S-AFC, will i be able to use the Z32 AFM on my RB25?

Yes. The AFCII has the ability to use a Z32 afm on an RB25 car...

Dont know about the 1st series of AFC's tho.

thats exactly waht i want to know too! can the safc alow the use of a z32 afm on an sr20det?

just had a look at the first SAFC manual and it also has the option but it is a little confusing as it uses the example of a GTR with twin Z32 AFMs.

Are you sure it can be used with the SAFCII? because i currently have an SAFCII and need to go Z32 afm. but i thought it wasnt possible.

It can goto single afm's dont know about twin AFM's.

If you read the manual it clearly states you have an INPUT and an OUTPUT.. take a look see and you'll know what I mean

ie. Input signal Z32 afm from the loom.

and output signal is that of an RB25 afm...to the ECU

do u realise u wont be getting anymore power with the z32 afm with the stock turbo?? u will just make the car run richer and have to -% the setting on the s-afc alot more then with the stock afm

What about with a HKS 2530 turbo ?? Something just a little bigger.

i dont think it will run any richer if you can set the SAFC to run the z32 AFM. The purpose of putting a Z32 AFM is to overcome the stock one from maxing out either at high boost or with a bigger turbo flowing more air than it can read.

But you will be maxing out your fuel pump very soon too if not already as well.

well i have a 2530 + pump + reg. and am maxing out the std afm signal.

but my SAFCII manual is all in japanese. any chance someone could post the afm conversion page? that would be awesome!
