Last night during qualifing at the Spring Top Fuel Championships at Willowbank Raceway Mark Jacobsen driving the Godzilla Motorsport GTR got a little out of shape and unfortunately Mark was unable to bring the car back enough to avoid hitting the wall. The damage was only minor resulting in two damaged rims and some rear 1/4 panel damage. Nick Zervos from APC just happened to have two rims identical to the ones on the car in his van and has loaned these to the team so Mark can continue racing this weekend...cheers Nick!. The team decided to run a little more front drive in the car but this resulted in the car torque steering and unloading the rear of the car which caused the 'off'.

The 1st qualifier was a bogged launch and had the car down some 8 MPH to 1/2 track but still running 8.0 through the traps at the end of the run. The second run saw the car leave the line better (1.25 60') but this run unfortunately was the one ending with the car clouting the wall.

Car has had some minor panel repairs courtesy of a hammer and the loaned wheels are on ready for todays action.

stay tuned for updates.
