Hey guys hopefully someone who knows their car electrics can shed some light on my problem...

I've noticed a high pitched electrical interference squeel occurs when the accelerator is pushed to 6.9 - 7.1% throttle position and held there (ie hwy cruising). It is a very loud and clear sound.

It might be coming through the speakers(I think it is) and it occurs whether the stereo is on or off. I don't think it is coming thru any particular speaker.

What could possibly be causing this? Could it be the stereo is getting power from an unsuitable supply or earthed badly? Could the throttle position wiring be interfering somehow?

Got the same, though it only started recently,

Im thinking its the water pump again, but logically the alt. makes more sense.

I can also hear the bearings of something grind, and also feel something is very tight when acc. or de.acc.

Water pump is being changed over on the weekend...might have to the alt as well.

I had my shit checked out today,

We hooked up clamps which then lead into an amp with headfones, my alt is fkd, makes this massive screeching noise...bearings r gone we think. Thats being fixed mon/tues, so ill let u know if i get that whine noise after.
