i have herd that it is legal and that it is illegal does anybody know what the regulations are for carbon fiber body parts?

In NSW carbon bonnet = defect. Not sure about other states

Its illegal in perth.

Due to it changing the crumple zones of the car.

However, it is easy enough to get a permit for it.

how would you go about getting a permit

Contact RTA, Vicroads, whatever the WA equivalent is and they'll be able to tell you definitely.

And what they say will be legit (not saying that people on here aren't), but 'a guy on the internet said it was okay' won't hold up so well when it's defect time.

Can't imagine how carbon fibre parts around the crumple zone can be legal.
