Well... went to the drags this arvo... had a lot of fun :)

Ran a 13.9 @ 101mph (2.2 60') on 9psi with a misfire issue between 4-5rpm. Not to mention an exhaust manifold gasket leak...

... which got worse on my last run so I had to bail.

This is without the AFC or anything....or the rest of the exhaust done yet.

Next time I go down I'll have an AFC installed and Tuned, A dump Pipe, and a de-cat-de-centre muffler pipe also.

I dont see a 13.5ish being out of the question. There is plenty more go left in it I think....

Some good results for bully, and GOT BOOST and Lagwagon also :(

Oh yeah, and the track was slippery as hell.... had wheelspin most of 2nd ugh! wonder how much better the time would be with more grip?

But now, I need an exhaust manifold gasket to suit the RB25. Anyone know the type/model number and where I can get one from ?

good mph. I ran my 33 last night at willowbank. Ran a 13.56@100mph. only got boost controller, 3 inch not got a dump pipe, and k&n pod. im happy with the time and no doubt that u will get into the low 13's dude just gotta hook up right off the line. I went down to stock wheels for the meet and when i ran my best time it hooked up well just abit of spin into second. Its all in the launch matey ive learned that. Good luck anyhow

Yeah, i was dam suprised at such a good time, but could only run 9psi cos the misfire would get really bad!

and Yep. Lowered tyres to about 22-23psi....

... then dumped the clutch at 3grand off the line.... f*ck slipping it, i got worse times that way!

my clutch screwed up on my last run. I ran a 13.98@83mph lol

weird had to roll down to the very end and was stuck there for awhile. turned the car off put it in gear started it up in gear coz i couldnt select a gear with the car on(no peddle) and then drove up the return road got into 3rd using no clutch pushed in the clutch while still accelarating and it went clunk and came good??? How bizzare but now i just went to the drift day today and on the way up it was slipping badly on the highway. 3rd n up just slips :)

Kym, Well done, I knew that car was much quicker after seeing it on the last cruise, but there will be plenty of improvement with some of those bugs fixed.

Got Boost, Excellent time mate, goes to show that the RB26 conversion was well worth it, and I'm sure there is plenty more left in it when you decide to push it harder:D

Interesting day to say the least, Track was like ice, the return road had more grip in it. Got a best time of 13.05 with 2.3 60ft at 113 mph so the mph is 3 mph better then my best et, with 60 foot being .4 off my best, so there is a mid 12 in there somewhere.

On my Second pass throw it into 3rd, add power, and tail end decides to go wall ward at 130-140 kph. Interesting stuff indeed

    • By popular demand.. it was a coil. Got my hands on 1 new OEM coil, replaced with the one that made the less noise difference when I unplugged it while the car was running and started the car up. No stutter and the engine light was gone. I guess I’ll buy the other 5 they have lol
    • No, code 21 is very straightforward. It can only be the things described in that diagnostic flow. In fact it has no way of knowing that the spark plug resistance is out of spec.
    • Hi, SteveL Thank you very much for your reply, you seem to be the only person on the net who has come up with a definitive answer for which I am grateful. The "Leak" was more by way of wet bubbles when the pedal was depressed hard by a buddy while trying to gey a decent pedal when bleeding the system having fitted the rebuilt BM50 back in the car, which now makes perfect sense. A bit of a shame having just rebuilt my BM50, I did not touch the proportioning valve side of things, the BM50 was leaking from the primary piston seal and fluid was running down the the Brake booster hence the need to rebuild, I had never noticed any fluid leaking from that hole previously it only started when I refitted it to the car. The brake lines in the photo are "Kunifer" which is a Copper/Nickel alloy brake pipe, but are only the ones I use to bench bleed Master cylinders, they are perfectly legal to use on vehicles here in the UK, however the lines on the car are PVF coated steel. Thanks again for clearing this up for me, a purchase of a new BMC appears to be on the cards, I have been looking at various options in case my BM50 was not repairable and have looked at the HFM BM57 which I understand is manufactured in Australia.
    • Well the install is officially done. Filled with fluid and bled it today, but didn't get a chance to take it on a test drive. I'll throw some final pics of the lines and whatnot but you can definitely install a DMAX rack in an R33 with pretty minor mods. I think the only other thing I had to do that isn't documented here is grind a bit of the larger banjo fitting to get it to clear since the banjos are grouped much tighter on the DMAX rack. Also the dust boots from a R33 do not fit either fyi, so if you end up doing this install for whatever reason you'll need to grab those too. One caveat with buying the S15 dust boots however is that the clamps are too small to fit on the R33 inner tie rod since they're much thicker so keep the old clamps around. The boots also twist a bit when adjusting toe but it's not a big deal. No issues or leaks so far, steering feels good and it looks like there's a bit more lock now than I had before. Getting an alignment on Saturday so I'll see how it feels then but seems like it'll be good to go
