Comments:

Setup made 345.2 rwkw on 21psi with all pollution gear still on car ... even had a cat and only a 3" exhaust. This setup on my rebuilt RB25 made full boost by 3,800rpm... with power curve still continuing up at my 8,000rpm rev limiter.

Turbo has been machined by Precision Turbochargers with surge hole compressor cover, it has a 0.63 rear exhaust housing but retains the 700hp cartridge. (cost was $1950 with compressor cover machining)

6boost exhaust manifold has been HPC coated in hi-temp black by Pro-Coat... all 6boost manifolds have a life time warranty against any defects ..ie... cracking etc (cost was $1500 including HPC)

Turbosmart 38mm hi-temp ultragate to suit above... (plumbed in to dump pipe, no screamer can be engineered) (cost was $470)

Dump pipe - 3" custom dump to suit (stainless steel)... this clears all my air con etc in my 33 Gtst. O2 sensor is located at the top and bolts to standard cat position.... (cost was $850)

Reason for sale??? Bigger turbo landed in my lap :nyaanyaa:

NOT WILLING TO SEPERATE AT THIS POINT, NOT NEGOTIABLE ON PRICE. NO TIMEWASTERS.

Setup will be in car until sold or new manifold arrives (2-3 weeks)... Serious buyers wishing to see running in car may do so for the next 2-3 weeks... Kit will be removed once buyer leaves a deposit/pays in full if this occurs before my new manifold arrives. I have a spare car so no dramas having the 33 off the rd for a week or two.

Pics will be up a bit later tonight.

And Dyno results on this turbo... these is more in this turbo but since I only had type A poncams and no adj cam gears... this is where I left it... How much more?? Wouldn't have a clue... but my AFR's are a little on the rich side also....

    • Nah no bearings, just slip fit.  Would be a reasonably challenging but not impossible job to modify it to run bearings but I'm hoping that's not necessary as I may have well built one myself if I end up spending hours modifying it!
    • Brumbys with good shells are bloody expensive, I've looked at 2 "cheaper" cars, and walked away from both,  plus after some research spare parts are fairly sparce I'm starting to think that I missed the boat on finding a clean one that is straight (ish) and without alot rust I'm starting to think about a old Hilux as panels and other parts are much more available as they sold tens of thousands of them I use to be indecisive but now I'm not sure
    • A Brumby would probably fit a big metal toolbox in the back... this is how it begins
    • Picked up a new OEM boot seal for the MX5 today as the old one got ripped a bit by me being a idiot by seeing if I could fit a large metal tool box in it, it didn't fit, and ripped the seal with the corner of the tool box I am still waiting on time to get the cams and new balancer installed, as well as the repairs to the boot Time will not be an issue soon though
