if someone could help answer my question it would be much appreciated....was the evolution 1 model the first 560 GTRs ever built ,and how could you tell ;would the chassis no. read up to BNR32-000560 ect or do they hold a special plate somewere on the car if not would you know their chassis no. range ...

If it's a car you are looking to buy or already have you can look at the thread titled 'VINs you want FASTed..."

Some of the forum Members can look up the VIN on the Nissan FAST database sofware.

i wasnt real sure were to ask this ,i already own this car, but a few people have told me that it is an evo 1 because of the vin but im not tooooo sure!!!!doubt it!!.....so i will ask in the forum section you suggest

The nomenclature is a bit muddled but I think what you are referring to is the Nismo edition built in 1990 & used to homologate the GT-Rs for group A racing. The 500 built requirement was allowed by the FIA as an "evolution" eg the late 1987 Sierra Coswoth RS500 was different tot he one raced earlier that year & was an example of an evolution model. As were all the Brock & Walkinshaw Commdores.

Anyway the build numbers had a 1 at the front of the sequence & then numbered from 1 to 560. So they were in the range of BNR32-100001 to BNR32-100560. The model should read KBNR32RXFSL RA

your a cleaver person djr, thanks heaps for the answer i have been trying to find that out for ages ,people are getting confused with mine because its BNR32-0004## but it is missing the 1 at the start ....oh well ....it was too good to be true
