We have been told to use a battery charger strait onto the termanals, but the system is runnung like 3000wrms..

Any help would be appreciated.

You have to make an Anderson plug connection on your car, which connects to your battery. My friend just did it for his car (JL Audio Mirage) for this weeks autosalon. Once you make the plug, at the Autosalon, they supply you with a power supply that is connected to the mains and plugs directly into your car.

This is what it looks like:

Yeh, it connects straight up to your battery........ one wire from your negative terminal and one from your positive. Those are the two pins on the plug. You have to use atleast a 4awg cable. That then plugs into the power supplies that they supply to you at autosalon.

Mate Autosalon do not supply these, Its up to you to have your own.

Autosalon supply a powerpoint thats all. My car had a converter built into the system so all the car needed was a powerpoint. Think they are around $300 for a smaller one (enough to run my downlights and stereo at a medium level) and prices are much more for a full competition set up as used on my mates S2000.

My mates car was in with JB Hifi for the last 2 years and a 110amp power supply was supplied.

J B Hifi bring their own power supplies to the show, Autosalon only supply 240 av socket. Jaycar do a power supply that does around 40amps for $399, or if you want something with more power i can get you a proper 100amp switchmode power supply for $600. Pm me if you need one
