I just had a new fmic installed. I found that the outlet pipe from the cooler that comes back into the front of the engine back to the plenum is quite hot to touch... So i guess the engines heat is warming this up. Can I wrap this pipe with anything to shield it from the engines heat? Would it make much difference?

Me and a mate have used PVC pipe for an intercooler, the problem was that we used PVC plumbing elbows instead of 1 long peice of pipe, it worked great upto about 14psi. After the boost went up it blew the elbows off.

You can use PVC after the intercooler but, not before cause it will melt.
