yup, i have similar heat build up over time in the piping.. Its either the HKS piping or the intercooler is pretty inefficient at doing its job.

Looks like you're running a similar HKS S-type cooler as me (well I'm assuming as you've got the piping kit that is the same). To be honest I don't think they're that great as even on "lowish" boost, say 12psi, intake temps seem to be overly high.

Yes its the hks type s with piping kit. The pipe on the outlet side of the cooler is cold to touch, but once that piping enters the engine bay it heats up which was why I thought it must be the heat radiating from the engine that heats the pipe up
