Pretty much a little chip that they can solder into your ECU to get access to tune it, mainly done on V6 commodores etc when you want a slight tune. Think of it as a greddy emanage kind of thing.

For the cost of it to get some one to put it in and tune it, your better off just buying a Power FC or emange, never heard of any one running one on a skyline and probably for good reasons. Don't think it could take away rich and retard etc so pointless.

dont be a bunch of gays :)

its a piggyback ecu, not an actual chip

ive got one in my car. was in there when i bought it.

does timing and afr's. so its better than an safc. pretty sure it can handle bigger injectors too.

all in all, theyre not too bad, but very few tuners tune them (or like them). something about being licensed with unichip.

but i found a tuner in sydney that knows these very well from back in the day when they were actually popular.

i'm happy with the results. wouldnt bother swapping it out for anything less than a decent standalone.

in your case, seeing as its not installed, i would probably go for a more popular ecu, simply for the ease of finding a tuner, and having more options in that regard.

btw, r&r isnt an issue. stock turbo at its limit. and all is good.

this is the one i'm talking about
