Can happen on anything really, faulty plug from manufacturer, dropped, mishandled, fractured etc.

Looks like a copper plug, but it doesn't matter what type:

As long as you got it out, :P thats the main thing.

it would have to be a faulty plug because spark plugs can be hard to snap

i know one day with one of my old NGK spark plugs i was thinking what is

inside so i throw it on the ground, hit it with a hammer and jumped on it and

it didn't brake

how the hell did you brake it?! :P

I had a spark plug snap on me a few weeks back. I just thought I had snapped it with my socket. Instead of pulling the socket off straight out, I did it on an angle or something. :P

Was running Bosch items, only about a week old.

I did the same thing a year or so ago. Took the socket off on an angle and snapped a spark plug.

I have never just dropped one and it crumbled though. Must have been something seriously wrong with it to do that.

    • Finally addressing my catch can and oil setup Plan is to do as much as practical without having to remove the motor or pull it apart. (no back of head to sump drain/breather or oil restrictors) First step is a set of full length baffle plates from Hypertune and a Tomei cam cap stud kit. I could probably have laser cut and bent up my own ones but this took any guess work out

    • I spent the entire of the long weekend going through my garage and I'm now, after 3.5yrs in this house, able to fit a car in. The garage is quite long and the back half has a high enough ceiling for a 2 post lift but it's going to just take too much space and I don't think I'd be able to get around the car if it was in the air. So, in comes the quick lift. It looks perfect. High enough to do most things, I reckon even getting a gearbox out would be doable.  Does anybody here have one? They're fairly cheap (~$3k) considering...  https://www.dtmtrading.com.au/product/quick-lift-portable-vehicle-hoist-3500-kg-worksafe-approved/ I'm also a bit of a non risk taker so I'd probably still use stands when under!
