blow off valve

this is a stupid question but i want some input,

what would be the best all round blow off valve for a R33 with FMI and 3" man exhaust.

Any will be ok... I have a turbosmart type 3 and its fine...

Depends if you want noise or to be quiet....ect...

oh i see, i have heard that some of the cheep ones cause a fluttering noise though the intake and out the air cleaner / pod filter

The fluttering noise is air reversing through the compressor wheel which is bad. this is because the BOV isnt lifting off. Best is to get an adjustable one, so it will lift when it should.

Most BOVs that I have seen are adjustable.

Other than that there is a legal perspective too.

Atmo vent are illegal on the street, plumb back are legal.

I had a turbosmart type 2, but replaced it with a trust type r because I am going to be running higher boost and needed a bigger BOV.
