How Much Can I Lift Boost To On Stok On R33 Stok Ecu

Hi i have a r33 s2 and wanting to add a boost controler. mods are turbo bak exhust air intake with stock ecu. Was just wondering what I can boost it to that will both not be restricted by the ecu and also safe for the engine, ive heard 10psi , can anyone confrim?

it varies a little from car to car depending on your mods, etc. If you have an adjustable boost controller, try 12psi to start with and drop it back a bit at a time until the ECU stops r&ring... I've heard of people running 11 or 12 psi without issue, and then there are people who run 10psi who get r&r..
