so hang on a minute. your saying that if you have these stickers on the car its ok providing that you have the parts fitted?

More or less, yes. Or they are a official sponsor of some sort.

Japanese parts all come with stickers. In japan it is quite normal to have a shopping list of official parts on your car, but culture there is different, there is less crime(so advertising parts has less worry), no P-plater hoons and car modification is a highly regarded 'career'. it is quite well respected.

It also much cheaper to purchase parts there which make brand name parts more accessible to the public, unlike australia.

However this culture has been bastardized by many people just pointlessly putting stickers everywhere for the sake of it.

I blame the following: Fast and Furious series, Intial D fanboys and MaximumTune3 (2 was ok.)

Here's what you need - I'm (seriously) thinking of doing something similar if I ever enter my car into our club display at AutoSalon! It should be a nice little piss-take on all the ricers and "all show, no go" kinds of cars you typically see there - Hyundai Accents, Mitsu Mirages and Honda Civic Breezes with $40,000 paint jobs and white (p)leather interiors.

The only sticker you need is one on the side mirrors which state

"objects in this mirror appear to be losing!"

honestly more brands you've got more you are targeted by criminals, cops and teenagers

accctually funny you should mention that because i saw one the other day it said "objects in mirror are getting further away" never seen them sold...even searched for it...nothing

    • Depends how low and tyre size. Should fit with natural camber, skinny tyres and rolled guards.
    • Hi guys, planning to get 18x9 +25 in fronts and 18x10 +25 in rears been reading the whole thread and cant really find anything   Anyone know if these will fit a r34 gtt with no scrubbing or guard work needed?
    • They usually get made by hand as part of any such swap.
    • Was planning on getting an R35 MAF and the adapter, should this be okay? Also any idea where I could get my hands on an intake pipe?
    • I mean yes, if you're starting from scratch on an unknown engine yes you don't need to be doing all kinds of math in the background but if you're doing relatively minor changes like AFM + injectors + boost up with some aftermarket turbos it takes quite a bit of math if you want to do something like maintain OEM fuel + timing tables but compressed and then a bit more load scale up top. I think I've spent too much time working on big engineering nightmares though so I'm a big fan of trying to constrain the scope of whatever work I'm doing as much as possible and trying to get it right before moving on. For example, a local owner just did the usual E85 + single turbo conversion to his R32 GTR and nearly burned his car to the ground doing some spirited driving up the local mountains. Turbine is unshielded and too close to the hood insulation. It's tough to balance "just get the project done" and "seemingly small details can cause massive setbacks I'm not willing to deal with".
