• Subwoofer Enclosures - 306CBOX has been specifically designed and manufactured to match the parameters and potential, and maximize the bass performance of the 1,000 Watt Pioneer TS-W306C subwoofer. This paticular enclosure is only supplied with its designated driver.
  
• Recessed panel joints nailed and glued - Robust construction joints mean that the enclosure will handle the substantial power outputs that can be generated. Cone excursion under heavy bass rapidly compresses the enclosed air and places huge stresses on the structure. Joints are a potential weak spot that must be reinforced in this way.
  
• Brushed aluminium laminate surface aids air-tight seal for subwoofer and terminal panel. Mounting these to carpet can lead to the potential for air leaks. Mounting to a smooth surface (with an additional gasket) ensures a perfect seal.
  
• Red carpet trim with black fleck provides a robust and stylish finish and minimises the possibility of enclosures marking fragile surfaces within the vehicle’s cargo area.
  
• Internal bracing gussets to all panels for maximum rigidity. Panels can flex under heavy bass loads, and this measure ensures structual integrity under all conditions.
  
• 16mm MDF panels MDF is a dense and acoustically inert material ideally suited to speaker boxes. 16mm thickness aids structural strength.
  
• Acoustic fibre filling (not shown) further ensures that internal resonances are controlled. It also aids in the minimisation of overall box dimensions.
  
• Asymmetric cross-section eliminates standing waves. Parallel surfaces create an environment for the propagation of reflected waves at certain frequencies. This creates dips and peaks in the response; Pioneer’s design eliminates this possibility.
