Cam Gears On A Rb25det

Can you fit adjustable cam gear on a rb25det? The reason i ask is my tuner has not done it before. He said it has a adjustable one on i think he said the intake. Can you replace that with a greddy or hks one as well as the exhaust? I brought a set for my old rb20 and never put them on so was going to with this motor. Also what gains are seem by them. Thanks

Only on exhaust, some gains if you have the right mods [debateable] to back it up, 10-20rwkw maybe. There is variable valve timing on the inlet side, this stops you installing a cam gear without major mods to ditch it.

sell the cam gears you have, if the car already has one, you don't need them.
