Harmonic Balancer Stuck

Trying to get the Harmonic Balancer off my Rb25 but it seems to be stuck. Anyone had this problem before? I have heard

of its not too uncommon on any engine. Just wondering what ideas people had for getting it off. Cheers

Are you using a Harmonic Balancer puller to get it off? Its the only way to get them suckers off (without damage).

Make sure you get a good quality one. Cheap chinese crap can end up costing you more.

I have a mate bringing a puller over this afternoon, we'll see how that goes, just wanted to get as much info about it

as I could, just incase you guys had any tricks you've used.

We did my timing belt on Saturday and the main bolt for the balancer puller wasn't long enough, apparently with 25's you've got to stick something into the centre of the harmonic balancer (we used another smaller bolt) and use that to "lengthen" the mail bolt on the puller. We just used a small bolt and pulled it out of the motor with a magnet after the balancer came off.
