I have just picked up a GT-RS and have noticed that unlike the standard turbo, the exhaust outlet and the wastgate outlet are seperated.

I currently have one of the BOS/Batmbl split/dump pipes, and these are obviously going to jag on each other in this area.

My questions are, if I cut the seperator off on the split/dump will this be fine or will the wastgate flap hit the dump pipe and not open properly??

Should I go for another dump pipe? and what suggestions are there?? I dont really want to buy a massively expensive one, so would a bell mouth be the cheapest and better option?

Cheers

I tend to think that a GTRS being a bolt on turbo would suit the std outlet pipe and anything of the same nature .

What you can do is take your GTRS with you when you go looking for dump pipes , pop the actuator arm off the waste gate arm and trial fit the dumps and manually open the gate via its short arm . You may even take a few clean nuts and bolts to hold the two together while you open the flap valve . Should be very easy to tell if the flap fouls on anything .

One handy tip , if you can bolt whatever dump you end up with to the turbo before you fit it because they can be a pain to do in situ .

This is why I prefer seperate dumps that place the first joint down where it's easier to get at the fasteners .

A .

Thing is I'm in TAS, so anything I get will have to be ordered and paid for before I see it.

Who has one, and what are you using?? Standard dump pipe is out of the question.

I think I'll just get a JJR Bell Mouth.
