had a search and couldn't find eaxtly what i was looking for

But bascily took my car into this mechanic today who had a look over it and gave me a call saying i needed new spark plugs

They currently have iridium plugs in them and was saying that they shouldn't really be in there (r34 GT-T Neo) and said i should change them to Platinum Spark Plugs as they are going to suit it better :banana: just wanna know if this is BS lol

yep. sounds like BS to me. i found i had iridiums in my stagea(neo engine same as 34) from complience. and they ran fine for ages, until i changed them out for coppers. if the car is running fine just leave them in there until you do the next service on it, thats what i did.
