Bosch 1000's, you should be able to get them for around the same price, why would you go for anything else these days for less than 500kw.

Cheers mate, bosch 1000's are even cheaper than rochester 1000's. Only problem is i'll need to change the fuel rail to fit either, i found a set that will fit into the stock rail made by deatschwerks but they are a good $115 a piece. Weighing up whether its worth going for Bosch 1000's and a new rail or go the deatschswerks. Personally i think if i'm going to up the ante later on down the track it'd be worthwhile going for a new rail, eh?

What is the current E content of the United stuff? How does it compare to E-flex?

I have no idea, as long as the wideband shows less than 12:1 im happy, if it ever got leaner than that I would be adding a little 98 and getting another tune but I haven't seen much variation on the wideband in 3 years to worry about it at all.

There are 4 United servo's in NSW now, hopefully more will follow as they are pumping the Melbourne rollout heavily. Dont look if you don't want to get upset. lol.

When you have waited 3 years for a local servo like I have, its hard to not be excited. Sorry, I will try to contain myself.

If its any consolation it took me 5 minutes to start my car today, I almost threw in the towel and got the aerostart. Gotta get the tune done, these cold starts are killing me. (or at least have the laptop out for a fiddle)

Haha I'd be excited too.... But my result on E70 was crazy enough... E85 wouldn't make any more on mine i reckon as its maxed the exhaust and turbo combo.... So its probably one of those results that would vary, but at the end of the day if it's 5kw over 300 then it's bugger all

Perhaps, but those 5 here and 5 there can add up to a lot of extra power once all the restrictions are taken care of.

It would give you a gain, mine was well maxed and I squeezed another 6 out of it. Mainly changed as its local to me.

yeah stuff driving an extra half hour for 5kw! Hahha i'll take Caltex E70 on great western highway anyday than driving to rozelle for E85.

Unfortunately Caltex seem to have stalled with their e85 rollout, much to Holden's disgust i'm sure. They got burned hard on the contract to supply it when the ethanol dried up last year, so I understand their unwillingness to install more pumps until demand has risen. (or until their waste ethanol plant is up and running) United on the other hand are set on cornering the market by the looks of it, a good position to be in as petrol gets more expensive.

Anyone care to guess what will happen to petrol prices in the carbon trading economy? The government would be stupid to stifle e85's take up by taxing their greenest fuel option to date but who knows...

Nothing would suprise me at the moment.... None of the governments seam to give two shits about ethanol fuel, especially over here where it's still illegal because they haven't got around to ammending the old laws.

Yep filled up with UE85 for 97c the other day.

The 'baxter' servo is in frankston. Up from the tower hill maccas. Lol the guy in there knows me well now.

So what sort of mileage did you get on your PI trip last week..did you have to use jerrys as well.??

Fuel cans used with BP98, so yep used with UE85. Though it was wet, cant tell use on track.

I'd just be very satisfied as I've ranted before, if modded vehicles are locked in tune to E70-85, were left alone by the EPA and cops, on the basis they are a very proven pollution emissions reducer. It seems too logical and simple for the numpties in power, if we have modded to pollute less, leave us alone on the roads from than angle. Meanwhile an E10 unserviced standard worn out hack spewing smoke from engine wear, on barely treaded tyres is generally left alone.
