I paid 1.27 yesterday at Blaxland, but the week before I paid 1.08, so yeah it's up and down with ULP it seems.

Seems to be determined by location too! As ive paid 10-15c differnce on the same day between Sydney and Newcastle :/

Caltex better not be shutting down the eflex supply

Otherwise there goes my hopes of running it, united servos that stock it are too far from me

I have to travel to Heathcote from Wollongong with 10 jerry cans,so that means I will have to go to Campbelltown, but its worth it.

A couple of pages back I spoke of replacing the R33s Z201 filter and its EFI hose .

After trying unsuccessfully to stop fuel leaks below the fuel filter I have again replaced the filter and refitted the standard rubber hose below it .

I am f**ked if I can work out how 5/16 EFI hose is larger than 8mm since 5/16" is from memory 7.93mm ? Its OD is larger than std and it slips over the steel line barbs way too easily .

Can someone confirm that std EFI hose is 8 or maybe 7.5mm because everyone wants to sell you 5/16 stuff .

How's everybody's cold starts going with e85? Is it really that difficult to start when cold??

It's not too bad, only on a really cold morning do I have any issue, and all it takes is a little pump on the the throttle as I crank it and it fires up, it's really fine.

United Minto have had issues with the Ethanol content. Ill post an update once it gets sorted.

Fires first crank ;)

I've been running eflex for a year now

It's fine starts first go every time only in the winter can't really accelerate to quickly for the first minute have to ease the acellerator on or just let it sit for a minute starts and idles good first go still

In summer can start it and go straight away

Kirawee was around the 1.14 today .

Question . Are people using that sensor from Haltech , which is a "Contenital" branded thing if you search , using those GM plastic quick connectors on them or just clamping on EFI hose ? If I had to do that I think I'd plumb it to the low pressure return side of the reg .

Cheers A .

i'm giving the proflow nylon plastic quick connect a go, i did a bit of research and nylon is ethanol safe. It's also on the return line so low fuel pressure but will keep a close eye on it regardless. Disco did you sort out your fuel hose issue?

In summer no issue, in winter with cold start fuel dumping in you could perhaps flood the engine. No big deal as the plugs won't foul anyway, just let it sit for a while if it floods and it will start fine.

Dumping twice as much cranking fuel in the engine, mine still has some issues at under 10 degrees. Obviously the lower the compression and further south you are, the worse off you will be. It really chuggs through the ethanol doing short school runs in winter...

Running the EMU previously I had no cranking enrichment table. I had to fit a stock injector into the plenum, with a 1L petrol reservoir and old stock fuel pump to get me started in the mornings. It worked well.

I'm starting to think water meth is a better idea than e85. No cold start issues, more k's to the tank, no jerries in the back on long trips. Perhaps even running 98, a secondary e85 tank and another set of injectors might work out better for me.
