Item: ohlins shocks and eibach springs to suit 33 gtr

Age: unknown. have been on the shelf for 3 years

Condition: excellent. no leaks

Price: 900 firm, pickup in sydney

To Fit: (What car) 33 gtr. (34 as well?)

Location: Sydney

Comments:

valving and springs matched by the good people at Mines.

circlip adjustable ride height (and full adjustable spring seat conversion is possible if you need it using a threaded base like Sydneykid does on his bilsteins). plenty of ride height options on the fronts, only 3 on the rear but it is easy to add more.

adjustable damping

eibach springs

pillowball top mounts

these are excellent shocks, not a set of japanese monroes like a lot of the coilover kits going around.

Judging buy the length and width of the spring as well as distance from each coil I would say it would be street.

My Ohlin Springs make those springs look tiny.

yeah sorry I don't know the exact spring trates but they are definately road spec, not silly rattle your teeth out track spec (although they will still be fine for the occasional track day, especially if you do sway bars as well).

i run pretty much the same setup on my r33 gtst

great shock, pretty firm but not too crazy for the street.

shock reconditioners in browns plains are also able to rebuild and re-valve these

they have quoted me $220 a shock to do so.

Good luck with the sale Duncan :D

I have these for my R33 GTR. They are an exceptional item. I have used them on the track with no worries. Maybe slightly soft, but on a road/track car they are perfect. The adjustable damper goes so hard they almost feel like solid rods.

just in case anyone cares, Biketek in Leumeah (Frank) is the go-to guy for ohlins service and reconditioning.

His front desk has all these posters signed by superbike riders. "Thanks, Frank." type scribbles on them..

he charges less then $200 for full servicing per shock, and that is worst case ..

He is doing my ohlins flag-r right now.
