Wow... I'm Stunned By The R35 Gtr

Woke up this morning and I reckon it's finally sunk in that I was lucky enough to be invited by Russel Newman to navigate for him in last weeks Tasmanian Tarmac Challenge in his new Hi Octane/ACL R35 GTR.

Wow, what an outstanding car, well peddled by Russ! Once a good road rally tyre is available for these cars, I reckon they'll be THE vehicle to have for tarmac rallies. Tony Quinn who has one in NZ totally agrees, and he's a man of considerable Porsche experience and is a great driver.

Just wanted to vent, the 35 aint over-hyped..... it IS tha shit!!!

As a male, you did a great job Ben in multi-tasking, what with...

i) navigating

ii) picking up the thrilling nuances of the R35 GT-R and

iii) keeping your food down!!!

One difference though... I found it very hard seeing over the bonnet after the pedestrian bonnet charged lifted the back of the bonnet up about 7 inches Keep in mind I sit on the floor....

lol... here's a cracker,..... before one of the stages I spent 10 minutes telling Giant how slippery the first corner was, how we spun there in the R34 in 2006, taking out two guide posts......

So, we take off, big demo for the crowd, what happens? We half-spin, taking out two guide posts.... identical! lolol wish I could remeber what I said through the intercom
