fog lamp

can someone help me out.

on the r33 gtst, are the fog lamps next to the indicator on the front bar suppose to work.. if so where is the switch for this?

help please its buggin me

Isnt it on the dashboard on the RHS next to the hazard lamp switch?

I could be wrong...

Just remember one thing, fog lamps are for fog, dont make yourself look like a braindead twit in an Excel by using them when there is no fog.

the hazard lamp is above the centre console.. do you mean around that dash area?

On the R33 the foglamp switch is on the headlight stalk just inboard of the headlight control it is a rotary one same as the headlights

i only have one rotary control on the right side stalk for the headlamps..

i think only the 4 door skylines have that extra rotary for foglamps

My 2 dr has a second rotary control for the foglamps - perhaps series 1 was different

Let me get this straight. One turn of the headlight stalk turns the lights on either side of the headlights on but not the ones next to the indicators??? Are they sposed to be connected???:confused:

Ok, this is just for my SII...

The stalk has a twisty end on it that turns headlights off/park/low/high. Just in from the twisty end piece is a band that goes around the stalk- it twists the fog lights on or off.

Fog lights and headlights work independently.

Also, worth noting that I understand its illegal to have 2 sets of forward pointing lights on at the same time - do you need extra police attention?

Sounds like you guy's have had your bars replaced somewhere along the line. Just get an Auto Electrics place to add a switch and relay.

I had a look and those lights on the front bumper don't actually have bulbs in them, they are obviously just there for looks?? I found out that only the last of the series 1 cars did have fog lights there (1995 build dates only). Weird....

i take it we are on about the front fog lamps, if so they are a optional extra on R33's as many things are , the switch is on the light stalk , on my old one , i had bulbs and the fittings , but they where disconnected, strange . we just pluged them in and hey presto !

Yep, i was lookin for a fog light switch for months. Got my mechanic to have a look at it, its just part of the indicators. I was very pleased when i got GTR indicators in my veilside front bar!
