ok i'll admit the only mods, ive been interested in during my ownership of my car r32gtst have been power orientated.

now after a while i thought i should pay some attention to the stop instead of just the go.

now if i upgrade my calipers (to say gtr items) would that improve braking?? or would i have to upgrade my rotors aswell. im just using them for street use (for security pretty much)

other suggestions of upgrades would be appreciated

you'd have to upgrade your rotors as well. im pretty sure they are thicker than stock gtst ones...

most rational ting to do is probably use high performance brake pads ie EBC Greenstuff, Bendix Ultimates, AFM (these are popular + theres a group buy on i think)

theres a brake pad thread in the forum, search and take your pick.

^^ my 2 cents based on the fact you just want it for street use, and will follow recommended speed limits :)

Im getting turbo ones for my non-turbo...but just for the look after theyre painted.

    • Hey all, I did a voltage test with the car (video attached) not running for 3 days. And here is some interesting stuff: - Battery voltage is 12v (I had the key in the ON position) - Drops to 9.76v while cranking then quickly goes up to 14.5v - You will notice there was a sorta slow start but not as slow as it usually is. - Idle surprisingly was better at just over 1,000rpm instead of 1,100 rpm. - I turned on the A/C, radio and headlights in the video and the voltage remains the same - I haven't cleaned the grounding wires on the chassis yet, that's next. - Battery drops to 12.6v when I turn off the car and wait a bit Seems like I might have a parasitic draw? I do have an immobiliser system which does drain the battery more of course but was wondering if there is anything else I should be looking at fixing? Does the ground wires on the chassis have anything to do with the low 12v?
    • My lord that is some low oil pressure as minimum in the manual! I guess the big part will be seeing how it changes as the engine gets more spirited use.
    • Turbotapin   so I am about to be mounting mine up been waiting for the body to get finish at paint. I had a question. I was told our Speedo sensor it originally in the transmission but the cd009 is in the diff on the z. How did you get around this?
    • I definitely do recommend having a fab/grinding/dirty shed or area to keep all that grinding dust out of your main shed.  But you're right, it doesn't matter how much room you have you still end up filling it! I might even do a short video which will make it easier to fully take in the horrors of what I've created...
