lol - with his car I don't think he is interested in the type of things that 'those guys' would take any interest in. I think Ashneel is genuinely after some sweet driving roads.

I know... just putting it out there just in case someone decides to take "spirited drive" the wrong way and posts up something like "omg there's a hektik road on the way to Traralgon that me and my cuz cut 180k runs on. valve bouncing ftw uleh".

My recommendations:

- Great Ocean Road up to Apollo bay

- Black Spur then to lake mountain (any season is good)

- Mt Danadenong

- Yarra Boulevard - its a 50km/h place

- The shortcut from Ringwood to Lilydale (I think its Jumping Creek Road from memory)

- Rye - drive down the road that follows the coastline (can't remember the name) - also go to Arthur's seat.

- Any of the ski resorts, Mt Buller, Mt Hotham etc. - any season

-> If you want to head out of Victoria - I highly recommend Tasmania - They have some really good driving roads there.

you could contact these guys.

They always seem to know where the best spots to go for spirited drives are.

Don't be an ass and get yourself banned for discussing illegal shit mmkay?

mmmm I must say that was a bit harsh Shan, I mean I know I can be a bit of an ass myself but seriously man the man didn't show any intention of being a hoon or was looking for backstreet racing, we get these cars cause we love to drive, we have meet ups and small cruises at least once every fortnight on roads, to me his question seemed legit and your response was pretty uncalled for and definitely something I wouldn't expect from an Admin I mean posting a link to vic police and commenting about being banned come on man, if I just got my car and this was one of my first post this would really deter me from coming back here and thats not how we want members to feel, is it?

must've not got the memo.

sorry to ride your asses on discussion on hooning and illegal activites, but its something we don't tolerate on SAU, and people have been banned for it, I just don't wanna see one of the regulars get into trouble for it...

I thought my post was comedy gold personally :)

in nicer, less sarcastic words... "keep the discussion to good driving roads and touring journeys, and stay away from street racing and breaking the law". Guess I'm too used to people saying "spirited driving" to get around saying "speeding around".

route 412 north from wellington rd. then turn right on to some road starting with y, and come back down through mt dande tourist rd. dont speed as some bits get VERY bumpy and narrow and some are busy/residential. good drive though. just get a recent melways and have a look at any twisty bit u ccan see. then go drive them

so aggreed.. I had a good chuckle... I thought you were going to link to like a exotic rental place with maps or something...

I think the admins' humour on these forums is pretty decent actually... :D

Nepean Hwy. Not a good place for a modified car. Cops out in force and defecting regularly, particularly during the warmer months.

Some of the roads out the back of Healesville (not through the Black Spur, through the other side of Healesville) are awesome but they’re likely to make you a bit carsick. No straights, all corners.

Drive around them 3 times a week on the way to uni.... it's nothing special.

edit: especially with the amount of trucks on bacchus marsh-geelong road these days

the only good thing about the yoo yangs is the straight prior to getting there and the car park once there :) , as for the walks, they are kinda cool, nice views but nothing even close to the workout at the 1000 steps... :)
