Good Roads For Spirited Drive

Nepean Hwy. Not a good place for a modified car. Cops out in force and defecting regularly, particularly during the warmer months.

Some of the roads out the back of Healesville (not through the Black Spur, through the other side of Healesville) are awesome but they're likely to make you a bit carsick. No straights, all corners.

Yep. Nepean Hwy, but when you get to Mornington (heading south) make a right turn at Beleura Hill Road, then make a left turn onto the Esplanade and follow it.

only if you are a passenger. think bout it. when have u ever gotten carsick while driving? its because you tend to lean INTO teh turns when at the wheels while passengers get thrown away to the outside. really messes with their balance centers. therefore, to prevent carsickness, lean the same way the driver is leaning - into the curve

Another great one is ether Eltham-yarraglen road or skyline road (lol). A good drive from the west is to get on the ring road, get off at Greensborough and drive along diamond creek road, then wattleglen road and then either of the 2 above. These lead to healesville.

Funny thing you mentioned "Skyline Road" because there is a road that connects to it called "Breakneck Road"

If you want to drive out to it, I think that the Korumburra - Warragul Rd is pretty good, especially heading North but is safer going south & eases you in.

I used to have to deliver stuff periodically for Reece from Pakenham to Leongatha & ALWAY took this road.

It has some tight blind turns with shear drops and no Emergency lane (watch out for those bumps on the outside, they will bounce you 1/2m towards the rail), sweeping high speed bends, inclines, declines, almost-hairpins, mostly 80-100kph limit... Just try to keep it above 60kph :D

Oh, and if you catch it with some light mist, be very careful - those 50m+ vertical drops with only a pissy little guard rail on the side of your lane to stop your car (yeah, right) would put an end to your driving days I would think... :)

Im from the surf coast my driveways 50m from Great Ocean Road. Recomend start from torquay head down to lorne turn right of the main drag in lorne before the cumberland hotel (the old big building on the foreshaw that used to be painted pink) and head up to erskin falls. great drive and falls are fun if ya wanna check em out.

then you can either keep goin past the falls inland or turn back to lorne and go to apollo bay. Be careful though the trees have all day shade on some sections near the falls and there is one nice wet spot on a corner because water doesn't evaporate and a mate of mine lost it while we were driven there and i watched him slide down an embankment. it pays to watch the surface!
