My preparation consisted of applying the sauwa decal, adjusting the clutch after replacing the master cylinder, and then attacking the radiator mounts with a 5" angle grinder.. Nothing like a bit of tough love.

i got confused and didnt know the track so i kind went skidskid, they came and started to tell me i was setting a bad example and they didnt want other drivers copying me, and as they said that a ss ute that was on the pan drifted into one of the signs,

Last time i went the lady instructor was really nice. Quite a few poeple were doing full on drifting and she never said a word about setting a bad example.

I think she was more concerned if they dont do it here in a controlled environment they will do it out on the street. Which i think is a good mentality rather then not allowing it.

I think the main issue they have is if you lose it, don't keep your boot into it.. like Sam did..

From my understanding, they will allow you to do whatever you want.

As long as it does not

Endanger you, or the instructor in your vehicle

Endanger spectators

Or damage their property, which includes the tarmac. So no standstills.

If you 'lose it' the instructor in the vehicle will try to talk you through what to do, to get out of the mess you made

Yeah the only time I was told off was when I did pretty much the same thing.. over cooked it and spun out then kept my boot into it turning it into a big smokey 2nd gear burnout.. they weren't as happy as I was lol

What does WA registration have to do with anything?

Youre allowed to drive it in WA with an interstate registration arent you?

As i know you only get 3 months some people say 2 weeks

i drove it for 1 year lol

but my eaststate rego has expried! so need go over the pits but just wont have money to attend to the event cause need pay transfer fee asweel as renewal could be something like 700 bux

With my gearing though 3rd is pretty tall.. might have worked better if I still had 4.3s..

now i drift on 235/45R17s on a 9inch wide rim i have to either be already sideways when i smack 3rd or with a feint drift entry

My bad though, I have hit 3rd once while sideways and that was with 225/45/17 LingLongs, RB20 gearbox and 4.3:1 diff ratios.

235/45/17 595SS's, 3.9:1, doesn't like it so much now.. only a couple more months then GT35R will be on and I *should* be able to roll on in 4th and fry the tyres
