Exhaust, boosted from 7 to about 10 psi.

Gas of Choice:

Shell V Power as first preference. Otherwise BP Ultimate.

$ Per Tank:

$70-$80 per tank for 50 litres

Kilometers Per Tank (Based On Driving Area & Driving Style):

Usually around 370km's per tank. Mostly suburban driving. Relatively quick acceleration mostly.

Other Comments:

Never put anything below 98 octane in the car unless I am about to be stranded. Have tried 100 ron however as car isn't tuned for it, no real difference.

I service the car every 5000km, and i changed my fuel filter when i bought the car a year ago. Car is running rich, hoping for better economy when i get computer + tune

504.91km per 60Ltrs (average consumption multiplied by total size of tank)

Peak hour traffic in morning (8-9am) and afternoon (5-6pm)

Oil change + filter every 5000km

SparkPlugs replaced every 10000km

haha ive been doing it for a while. Its pretty easy. Just scribble down the kilometres traveled on the tax receipt from when you tanked up.

Tax receipt has details on how much you filled up at what cost, so you just plug the numbers in to excel and do the math.

R32 with series 2 rb25det, turbo back exhaust from 3 to 4 inches, fmic, fuel pump, adj fuel pressure reg, stock ecu, not tuned, max 1bar boost.

Made a post on first page but this time the car has the power fc in and tuned by my mate in the mountains.

Gas of Choice:

Mobil 8000, BP Ultimate

$ Per Tank:

$80 - $90

Kilometers Per Tank (Based On Driving Area & Driving Style):

Used to get:

400km driving round at night and mountains etc with lots of right foot action.

About the same doing daily driving because of traffic and lights etc.

Now get (with power fc and tune):

275km out of 30L. So 30/275 x 100% = 11.9L per 100km. Not bad for a series 2 rb25 hey?

Works out to be around 550 to a tank.

This is daily driving around suburban areas with a bit of a squirt every now and then.

Other Comments:

I recomend anyone who is getting bad fuel economy to get a tune (mainly light load cruise tune). Well worth the money!!

v power definatly has ethonol, i asked in the servo and they said it does, im pretty sure ultimate from bp has ethanol, dont remember why but im fairly confident it has ethonol, mobile 8000 dosent have ethanol, i asked, but mobile is moving some new ethonol based fuel in if they already havnt.

400-450 Normal traffic - going to work and back in peak hour and going out in the evening.

Don't drive hard but don't really try to drive economical either. Just keep up to traffic

Car serviced around 5000km's. I take decently good care of the it.

New O2 sensor (even though there's no difference from the old one.)

Splitfire coils

1.1 gapped copper spark plugs.

When I changed the exhaust, I started getting slightly better fuel economy (maybe +0.5l/100km's)

1997 Stagea RSFour, turbo, auto, full exhaust, FMIC, shift kit, bought at 72k km, now 117k km, I used penrite twice, then went to Fuchs 10w30, oil has been coming out better every service, i am now servicing every 10k km instead of 5k at my mechanics advice
