Hey all,

Just a quick one - I sold my car the other night, and im considering purchasing an R32 GTR as my next car. I checked one out recently, which was an 89' model. I read the other day on carsurveys.org the following:

"The best thing about the r32 gt-r is that the 1989 models had the race spec rb26's straight from the r32's that were put up against the aussie v8's in 89, all gt-r's built after 1989, including the 1990 r32gtr, were made out of cheaper materials to save money which meant less reliability, other than that I'm an r34 lover, I will have one by the time I'm 24 (I'm 16 now), but any gt-r will do at the end of the day."

Did a quick search of the site to see if anything could shed light on this comment, but didnt find anything to support it either way.

Is there any truth to this comment?

Thanks in advance!!

the earlier R32 blocks had a slightly better (thicker) casting....everything else is the same...except the earlier cranks which had the smaller inferior oil pump drive which is well known.
