So it seems that my factory boost gauge is playing up, 3 times, over the last 3 weeks, the boost gauge has just stopped working and dropped onto the little pin in the gauge.

The car seems to run fine, even when the gauge decides to stop working, so im not sure whether its just the gauge dying or a more serious problem.

Has anyone had any similar experiences or know what could be going on, its drivin me nuts!

Steve

I'm about 90% sure it's the boost sender unit. The unit is located close to the firewall on the drivers side in your engine bay. It has a vacuum pipe running from your plenum to it, and has something like a three pin plug connected to it.

To swap it over it quite simple.. buy a second hand good unit, unscrew the bolt holding it on, take off the vacuum hose and three pin plug, then attach to the new unit. (reverse to install).

Hope that helps.

ok thanks dude, so if it is indeed this unit, do you have any ideas on how much another one would cost?
