... to be honest I haven't notice a massive difference between running low and high with economy. If you redline it and hit boost for most of the tank, you're still going to use heaps of juice. So really, it doesn't matter too much. The only way to save petrol is really just to stay off boost completely, but man, that is so damn hard :D

Pushhead, I don't speak for everyone one, but in my experience I have never taken the car off High boost. I wouldn't bother spending the money on a duel stage boost controller. I would just buy a GFB single stage, set it at 12 pounds, the safc tuned And leave it at that. Why do you want to run low boost aswell?

Thanks for the help. Just scared that if I leave the turbo running constant 10psi of boost that it would not last as long with a stock intercooler. thats why i kind of want a 2 stage boost controller. so when the time comes i can increase it to 10 psi.

umm if i play around with the safc settings, will it stuff up my car?

not sure guys. but really appreciated with all your help. Esp to this noob :D

errr dont scare me inasnt, but i installed the safc myself. .resetted the unit to factory settings (default), what if i leave it like that until i get it tuned? will this stuff it up also even though it is set to as default settings? there is no 'off' switch on the thing.

hicks .. whats ur experience with feul economy?? do u find that its the same .. or close enough at higher boost?

I didn't notice any. I leave the car on high all the time. Obviously if you thrash the car your goona use fuel. Its too frustrating to drive the car on stock boost!
