Rb20 & Rb25 Stock Turbo's

Hi all, chasing a stock RB25 turbo and have found lots of RB20 turbos....the RB20 turbos are labelled as T3 just like the RB25 turbos....do both engines have the same turbo??

The rb25 turbo is indeed different, and a good, simple upgrade to an rb20 I am told - I am chasing one at the moment too Here is the Link to the diy, have a read - the turbo should bolt straight in, the only thing is putting a nipple near the outlet to feed the wastegate.

they are listed as t3 as that is the flange type. it doesn't really have anything to do with the actual size of the turbo.

the easiest way to tell the difference is the front housing cover.

the BR20 stock turbo has "16v" printed on it.

the RB25 ones have some combo like "45v2"
