Hey Dominic,

Great idea, have you entered one of these before?

Provided my car is together I'll be entering this next year.

When I was at Eastern Creek this morning, the East Coast classic rally was on, they are now allowing modern cars to enter as well. Looked tops, they ran the figure 8 skidpan and EC track this morning, then were driving up to Bathurst to do a couple of laps there - it would be a top few days out!

Hey Dominic-Ben Gibson here. You just pop up everywhere don't you?

I take it you're pretty happy with your new GT-R.

Just a word to the wise-steer clear of that Fatz guy-he's a bloody menace.

Watch out for Duncan too-i think he likes little boys.

So you'll be giving the GTR a shakedown at EC skidpan on the 21st? I'll see you there.

Thats the way the Dutton works. Driver and co-driver. The same course is undertaken with each person driving by themselves and at the end of the comp. prize for best driver, prize for best co-driver and prize for for best combined. Its a lot of fun for a small amount of money about $1k each.

That includes food but not accomodation or beer (add another $1k for beer)

I have competed a few years in the GP rally with my STi (www.grandprix.com.au) which used to be called the Dutton Rally.

Hi ben yes I have the GTiR, GTR, VB commodore, Nissan Stanza so I belong to groups with each. Not booked into 21 EC skid pan.

Hi Duncan.. Navigators-co-drivers are extremely hard to find as most people say yeah Id love it.. then when they hear License required, need to take a few days off work, you pay half entry, accomodation and beer. I pay all car costs (Except you smash it you own it or fix it) then they start to think twice.

don't worry, cancel that, checked the sup regs, requires L2 or L2s which is just a sprint license. You may have a pair in a skyline to keep you honest......

and CAMS license thread is here:

    • Hello everyone, I'm glad to join you.
    • Definitely do-able haha. I will give it a try if the fuel pump hanger does not solve the issue. Just need to find some quiet time in the area, Malta is like a big city and I live right next to the main hospital so it is very busy during the day. I'll be installing it in about 2 weeks, found a garage that is pretty knowledgeable and has the necessary tools. This garage has worked on multiple builds, even for competitions. They even asked me to stay with, so I should be fine.
    • Just to add, I found the r32 gtr ecu the most forgiving, the r33 one would get the shits.
    • For what it’s worth I drove my gtr for over a decade with gt-ss as a true daily after I pulled off the -5s, I had it engineered and went with stock ecu etc.  never skipped a beat.    I would only worry if you can’t get good fuel all the time in a tropical paradise
    • I bought an engine from a friend of a friend many years ago, it was sold to me as a RB25det Neo.    recently I started pulling it apart and noticed that the intake manifold was pretty different from others that I had seen on RB engines so did a bit of research and found that it was a non turbo manifold. So I’m sceptical now that it is a NEO DET and just thinking it’s a NEO DE (it does have a turbo strapped to it currently).    can you identify the engine model from the numbers on the block?
