okay, one word answer...

after slipping once like that and making a fart like smell...

is my clutch on its way out any time soon?

Yep.

It's done well though because 120,000kms is excellent for a standard clutch to last . Plus no doubt a few kms have been with higher power levels too.

Drive like nanna.

Save for new clutch.

Easy.

that's actually not that expensive, thought it would be a bit more...

what's the labour like for a new clutch install...?

man, if i get a new clutch it's going to give me the modifying bug again which is something i don't really want lol not again!!!

I'd take the smelling clutch as signs of the clutch going ;)

mine went recently

i got the 5 puck brass button from slide :D

installed it myself at home (not suggested) lifting the box back into the car was a pain on the arms lol

When mine went it was barely drivable and with my luck i was in balga somewhere dropping a friend off :)

i live south of the river :D never has it taken me so long to get home haha

I'd suggest changing the clutch asap

hhrrmm....

drove a little today, no problems... guess i'll have to wait and see what the near future brings...

if it brings a time where a new clutch is necessary i'm afraid i'll have to go for the 400hp+ club dream...

*shakes head* i don't want to dddddooooo it lol

Just had my clutch done. clutch was $500 and is rated up to 450hp, fitting was $300 + $45 to machine the flywheel. pretty good deal if you ask me.

Had it done at Auto Clutch in osborne park. 9244 4496

I would also suggest maybe spraying some deoderant in your car... might help with the smell? lol

LOL Ben thanks for the heads up, that price seems very reasonable, will keep that in mind and save the number...

in regards to the smell, it's long gone, was only there for the 10-20 minutes after i gave it serious juice

not a problem since so i'm assuming my clutch is still going good, i know at least 3 other guys with GTT's with standard clutches with as many km's as my car and their clutches seem to be fine too...

i'm not convinced that my clutch will go anytime soon at all
