Removing Helper Springs From Coilovers

hello

is there any negatives if the helper springs are removed from coilover suspension?

main reason for removing them is to lower the ride height.

ps. i'm only just learning about coilovers etc so go easy

I think the reason for them being there is to make sure the springs remain captive at full droop.

As longs as the springs remain captive, shouldn't be a problem to remove them.

as said above, the helper springs are to stop the main springs rattling around when you do go low...

the lower u adjust ur coilovers, the bigger the gap between the top of the coil and seat becomes at full droop, so the lower u go the more the need for helper springs really. and since ur looking at going really low id say ud want the helper there moreso
